First and foremost for those of you who haven’t seen it yet,
check the post below for my first preggo picture
and check the one before that for a strew of comics.
Interesting News Article:
It’s okay Bill.
Work: We have finally got more work in and are doing full shifts. I have not been hiring the last 2 or 3 weeks. I got to update some of my training materials and I am also training 2 back ups for whe I am on materity leave. I have been working on several “crafty” projects and it suits me well. I have also had ample opportunity to work closely with Christine the manager and I have decided I love her (in a strictly heterosexual, work appropriate way.) We start hiring again next week and I am looking forward to it. i am also hoping my pay raise will be on this check.
School:
Family: I love my mom. She is the most wonderful, dedicated, hardworking person it the whole wide world. She makes me want to be a better person. I am really pissed off at my brother. I am tried of him calling me names. I am not going to continue to put up with it.
Babyshower: We played a lot of really fun games. I think most people who came enjoyed it. We discovered that Robby is the fast diaper changer and Rachael can really suck.I got some things I really needed for the baby. I was glad because I have alread got out most of the thank you cards. Here’s a few pics. More will come later.

Social Life: is nonexistent. I am just too busy with everything else.
BABY AND ME AT 35 WEEKS!How he is growing:
At 35 weeks, he is approximately 19-20 inches in length head to toe. He weighed approximately 5 1/4 pounds lbs, which is like pick up a honeydew melon.
This week his kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he’ll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
How my life is going: My uterus — which was entirely tucked away inside my pelvis when you conceived — now reaches up under my rib cage. If you could peek inside, you’d see that there’s more baby than amniotic fluid in there now. My ballooning uterus is crowding my other internal organs, too, which is why I have to urinate every 5 minutes and get occasional light heartburn. I am one of the lucky few that I don’t feel like complete crap. I registered for the hospital and took a tour. Mom and I will be attending a crash course birthing class. From here on out, Ill be seeing Donna, my doctor every Friday. We are getting down to the wire with only 31 days left. I am worried and excited all in one.

So I will soon be putting up more pictures of the shower
and giving ya’ll the details of my life, but I have been REALLY busy lately!
None the less I know you have all been hankering to see what I look like now that I am all preggo.
So here’s my 8.5 months later pic, (which is surprisingly the 1st picture I have taken since I have been pregnant.)
Here I am in all my baby making glory.
Enjoy!
BABY AND ME AT 34 WEEKS!
How he is growing:

At 34 weeks, he is approximately 19.5-20 inches in length head to toe, which is roughly the size of medium pumpkin. He weighed approximately 5 lbs, which is like your average cantaloupe.
His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he’s born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well.
I swear I will update,
but for tonight it is just the comics.
Here’s to the night!

and I feel fine!
Work: is going wonderful!
We have had some really short hours this week, because we don’t have many surveys in and we don’t have any late night projects going. Normally this would be a bad thing, but I am using those extra hours to catch up on house work and homework. School:
Family: Mom and me went for a walk today. Rachael is driving me loopy with her capriociousness. Ben and Dan don’t really talk to me. Aunt Kathy sent an adoreabe outfit for the baby and a super cool big gay moo moo that I have been wearing around the house because it is tres comfortable, but when I wore it out to the laundry room Adam our next door neighbor made fun of me.
Social Life: Lindsey and I have been spending quality time together planning and making all the preporations for the baby shower. It’s coming up on Saturday and I am stoked but so afraid I am going to mess something up. We had to change he location and I know it is going to throw some people off.
BABY AND ME AT 33 WEEKS!
How he is growing:
At 33 weeks, he is approximately 19-19.5 inches inches in length head to toe, which is roughly the size of Medicine ball or big kick ball from elementary school. He weighed approximately 5 lbs, which is like carrying around a pineapple.
This week he’s rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. The skull bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
The preggo effects on me:
I am all belly. He sticks out in front of me. I can no longer fit into any of my jeans and all my work pants are now riding under the belly, which is throughly annoying because they have a tendency to want to slip off that way and I can’t exactly wear a belt. I am walking different, I have “the waddle” mostly when going up stairs, but otherwise it is not too terribly noticable. I have taking to sleeping with as many pillows as possible, because being this huge is terribly uncomfortable. My new favorite 3 trimester symtom has started: Back pain! This is because my little darling is sitting on my sianic nerve and it’s uncomfortable. My second favorite symtom causes me great amusement, I am now up and in the restroom at bare minimum once and hour (usually more) I am going to start counting how many times I go a day, just because I find it amusing. TMI WARNING!!! Strange pregnancy fact I discovered, one’s urine during pregnancy looks different. It is cloudy with preggo hormones. I find this intriguing and wanted to share.

WARNING:
This is an entire post about BABY!
There may be some TMI moments.
Baby and Me Last Week:
Last week we were at 31 week, which means that he was approximately 17 – 18 inches in length (head to toe, not otherwise preverts!) and was roughly the size of a soccer ball. He weighed approximately 3.5 lbs, which is like carrying four navel oranges under my shirt.
He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He will be gaining more weight than height from now until his birthday. He’s moving a lot, too, which is a little bit of a pain because your he kicks and somersaults to keep me awake at night and to get me moving when he wants breakfast, but it’s a good thing, because all this moving is a sign that my son is active and healthy.
A kind of gross thing that I also read about is that his kidneys are functioning and are excreting several cups of urine each day into the amniotic fluid, which he is also swallowing so it just recycles throughout the day. A really cool thing is that his reproductive organs are continuing to grow more sophisticated too, and would be quite visible on an ultrasound. Translation: my baby’s packing. I saw his testicles on the last ultrasound.
As far as I go, according to the sources, my hardworking body is putting in overtime these days, making some less-than-subtle preparations for the upcoming labor. I am getting an increase amount of hip and lower-back pain, because the pregnancy hormones are relaxing the ligaments and tendons throughout your pelvic area, so the bones can spread to make room for delivery. My giagantic and expanding uterus may also be putting some pressure on the sciatic nerves that run from my lower back down through your legs.
Other really neat things that are going on with me are breast
changes. (OVERSHARE ALERT: this may be too personal, reader descretion advised) As I get closer to the big day, the milk glands in my breasts are starting to produce colostrum, a thick, yellow milk high in fat and antibodies that will nourish the baby for the first couple of days before the actual milk comes in. Colostrum is perfect for the newborn baby as it is full of fat that helps line the baby’s immature digestive tract and helps the meconium, or waste product, pass easier. As a matter of fact, my breast milk will provide all the nutrition this little child needs to grow strong. It makes me feel like superwoman!
That was last week. Here’s what’s going on this week:
As of Valentine’s day I have 51 days to go (and counting!) I am in week 32 (37 weeks is the magic number — that’s when your baby is officially deemed full-term, even though pregnancy may go to 40 weeks or beyond!) At 32 weeks I am in the 8th month and in the 3rd trimester. This week he is taking up a lot of space in my uterus! He is approximately 18 – 19 inches in length and weighs 4 or 5 lbs, so he is roughly the size of a bag of potatoes. I should be gaining about a pound a week from here out and roughly half of that goes right to your baby.
This week with the exception of his still-developing lungs, all other major organs have completely formed — which is great news if he decides to arrive early, which is pretty impressive, considering I have almost two more months ‘til my due date! He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he fattens up in preparation for birth.
My boby is also continuing to go through lost of changes. In order to accommodate me and my son’s growing needs, my blood volume has increased 40-50% since I got pregnant. My uterus pushing up near my diaphragm and crowding my stomach which leads to lovely, lovely heartburn. I can also blame my growing uterus and hormonal changes for fun back aches. The ever expanding uterus shifts my center of gravity and stretches out and weakens my abdominal muscles: Fun! It is changing my posture and putting a strain on my back. Though I have been told by some that I don’t waddle, I feel “heavy” and this makes bending, rolling over in bed, getting out of bed, getting out of low chairs and/or the car and a pain in the ass.
Last but not least some:
![]() • Guess how many times she’ll pee in the next ten minutes! • When her belly button pops out, will the baby be done? • How many of us can fit in one pair of her panties? • Who can finish a half gallon of ice cream first? • Guess where she left her keys! Let’s pretend! ![]() • At your baby shower, pretend you understand how the diaper disposal system works. • Pretend it was the dog who farted. • When installing your car seat, pretend you don’t seem like an extra from The Planet of the Apes. • Pretend that onion rings are part of the “best-baby” diet. • Pretend your prenatal vitamin is buried at the bottom of the ice cream container. |
So I am covered in hives which I am hoping is just an allergic reaction to the antibiotic I was taking for the sinus infection, but it is possible it is just a preggo thing because my mom remembers her mom breaking out in hive when she was pregnant with my Uncle Eric. My family is evil. They said God was punishing me for being preggo and unmarried. I don’t think he’s punishing me.
I also am now getting pain in my hips, back, and knees a result of loosing joint for baby poppin’ day. My hand and feet are swollen today. This is so lame. I have been thankful for my easy pregnancy so far and all the good luck I have been having. I guess I can escape unscathed.
