    Some Days Are Like That.

Work: I have throughly enjoyed my "vacation" from work and am more determined than ever to get a new job, because I realize I really don't want to go back to work on Friday. It's just time for me to move on from Precision. When I do go in on Friday I am going to put in a schedule request change form to work Monday - Friday from 3pm to 10pm which will give me 35 hours a week. I am sure I will stay later and come in earlier, so I am not worried about not getting enough hours, but I really need to cut back. Besides, I no longer feel a desire to bust my bawls for a company that does not appreciate me as an employee. It's obvious that they don't appreciate me or need me as I haven't recieved recognition for any of the extra work I have put in the last month and the fact that they could get rid of me for a week. I have no motivation to go above and beyond my job and I don't think I am going to get a raise at the end of the year due to all the problems that have creeped up since Amy has become manager, so I have not motivation to strive for excellent. I am disatified. It's time to move on and sadly very inconviently so.

    School:

    • HIS103 American History:  (My favorite/most interesting class)This is the only class that I am really worried about at this time. I am not sure if my grade is satisfactory. I plan on making an appointment to go by the teacher office and talk with her about my current grade and stragetize some ways to improve. Mainly I think I just need to prep for her quizzes more. More reading and perhaps just arriving at school a bit earlier. Perhaps a bit more class participation would help as well.
    • Cultural Diversity in Education: I am not sure what my grade in this class is either, but I think it is probably okay. I participate in class. I may also need to do some additional reading. I am not sure how well I have fared on his quizzes. on a random side note, we are currently watching Stand and Deliver in that class, which of course I have watched in just about every math class I have ever taken. I am the only one laughing at jokes. It makes me wonder what is wrong with the rest of the class. Also I found something hilarious in it that I never noticed before. at one point they call my favorite character Angel (you know net-head pictured at right) a wanna be chollo. Prior to Rachael forcing me to listen to Lean like a Chollo a million time, I didn't know what this meant. Now I do know what it is it made that part even funnier. Woot for being more culturally aware.
YAY FOR MATH CLASSES!!! (Never thought I would say those words!)
My math classes are the only ones I am 100% sure of my grades in.
    • MTE180: Math for Elementary Teachers: (My 2nd favorite class!) I am doing well in this class. I actually do the homework (because it counts for extra credit and is way easy. I have done fantastic on all the quiz and I actually enjoy the teacher and (shocker) talk to other students in this class.
    • MAT142: I took the midterm on Wednesday. Got it done in 20 minutes, only had trouble on 1 question of the test. Prior to that I had an 89% but I am sure the midterm grade will bring that up. In this next unit out teacher is teaching us to gamble. It's all about chance and probablity. She actually had us calculate how much money we would win at the casino playing roulette with various odds and bets. It was really amusing. I am going to give her a great grade on myspace grade your teacher. She also suggested to me that I "unoffically transfer" into her 11:30 class since she figured that would be easier for me. I really appreciated that. It's great to find teacher that are understanding and really care and want you to succeed. I want to be a teacher like that.
Social life: I've actually been able to get out and about this week and got to see RBAwLs. We had dinner and I got to watch part of Barbarella with them. Erica is the friend I get to see the most. She helps keep me sane and is such a good listener. I havce even got to see Chris a bit this week.

Family: We are such a crazy bunch, but the love me so I can't complain to much. For those of you who don't know already I will make this the public announcement. I will be a mom come the 2nd week of April 2008. I am really excited about it despite that the timing and circumstance are not ideal. Mom and I were at Safeway the other day and she was telling one of her former coworker, "I'm going to be a grandma!" It was really cute!

Here are the first baby pics. If you want to know more about my pregnancy email me.

Yes, I am aware that I spelled 'ghost' wrong. I couldn't rememeber it at the time. None the less, he looks like freaking Casper in this ultrasound. I will put up more ultrasound pictures when I get them.
