This Week at Work: LOTS HAPPENED
- Last Monday - We had 25ish temps in I was stressing. Amy inadvertedly canceled our client call prep and monitor meeting. To much to get done! John Smith our S.A. dedicated employee of Precision for the last 5 years put in a 2 weeks notice.
Scary because he's our dude that know the most and has the most experience. - Last Tuesday - Not only did I have four 1st day trainees in I had schedule/paperwork/HR problems with my 2nd day trainee. It was a day on wheels! Thank the gods for Kim who saved the day and took over training long enough for me to take care of everything! Sadly they decided that his would be John Smiths last day. I almost cried. Instead I punched him in the shoulder and said good luck. This was also the start of 7 day work weeks for Kim and Marc. INSANE.

- Wednesday - I don't remember much. I don't now if I hired anyone even. It must have been so horrific I blocked it out. I think this is when we found out that Sir Thomas would be joining our supervisor team as the new S.A. Sir Thomas because he is 58 to the rest of the supervisors 20 something.
- Thursday - Training. I'm sure some significant happened but all I can remember is that I was happy to finally make it all the way through computer training because I had no temps.

- Friday - Finally a day to catch up. I meet Sir Thomas and he seems like a swell guy. I think he will fit right in with the rest of the team. I also think it will make Amy more confortable to have a older person around.
- Saturday - All work no play makes Randi something, something, so I had a day off!
- Sunday - Wonderful day. I got to type in open ended response from our mail surveys. I walked the row for a bit and got to catch up on making copies. It was a successful day.
- Monday - Labor Day. I was actully paid not to come to work. Joy oh Joy! Sleep! I also got to watch movie with my family. I saw Disturbia, Marie Anoinette, House of Flying Daggers.

- Tuesday - I got to train 21 temps. Joy of my life (sarcasmim!) They decided to make lost of last minute decisions with HR and Payroll. Blah!
On the plus side we almost made it through computer training. - Wednesday: I hired people. Wrote up a new interviewer info guide for our Temps. Trained. It was a productive day.
School:
- HIS103 - This has actually becoming my favorite class. John Smith warned that the teacher was a hard ass but I love her. I think she is hilarious and she actually makes me want to work in the class. Last week I didn't do the assigned reading and bombed the quiz, I was totally disappointed in myself, but then I read the assigned reading and scored some points in class discussion. I felt like a star. It is very good.
Additionally we got to check out a 18th century prenupt and talk about laws regarding Bastardizing. It was intense. - MTE180 -2nd favorite class. Learn diffferent ways to teach math to kids. I love it. It stimulate my brain. My homework was a suduko. Lovely. Plus as it turns out we are talking about a great deal of the same stuff we are going over in my over math class which is a plus because now I feel like the other class has a purpose.
- MAT142 - my brain is not fully function for a 7:30AM math class no matter how easy it is. I had a test in this one today. It was cake but I was having like the worse morning ever. 4 hours of sleep. Was late. Couldn't find my calculator. The teacher saved my life and lent me one. She made my day.
- TEL212 - Bleck. So we have to do a week long group presentation. Originally I was all excited about it, because one of the available topics was gender and sexual orientation which I could do a freaking master thesis on. But when he sent around the paper I was the last to get it to sign up for one and all the spots for gender were taken. I cried. Literally. I was THAT upset. I was 'randomly assigned' into a group presenting on class and socio-ecomonic statis, but thankfully the other 2 member of my group are really fantastic and hard worker, whereas I would have been with preppy bitches in the gender group so it worked out to my advantages. Plus out of a class of 23 girl I get to work with one of the 2 boys. The cute one I might add!
- ERICA101 - I am so very happy to have a friend on campus!!! Erica and I have been challenge each other at chess. Last week we learned about proper set up (queen on her color) and this week and next we may devel into different variations of the game. It will be fun, even if she kicks my ass each time.
On the home front: will start on Monday
